Course Overview
Covert Surveillance Operator Course: 54 instructional hours over a 6-day period. This course will equip the student to conduct undercover and covert surveillance operations within the many aspects of the governmental, corporate and private surveillance industries. Prerequisites for this program are: possess basic security knowledge, clean criminal background and a valid driver's license. Applicant must have at least one-year experience in the security field (Mil/LE/Sec).
The student will know and understand all aspects of performing covert surveillance operations in rural, urban and and realistic set up of drills and exercises. This will enable the student to qualify for work with government agencies, as well as private investigation firms.
Surveillance Counter Surveillance Introduction 13 Hrs (4C/9L)
Objective: Surveillance protocols. Surveillance is the monitoring of behavior, covert monitoring of a selected person, vehicle or location by visual, audio or video, utilizing covert or overt measures.
Introduction to the Surveillance Equipment 5 Hrs (1C/4L)
Objective: The primary objective of the Surveillance Equipment Training unit is to impart to the students the proper knowledge of the types of vetted Surveillance Equipment and the operational techniques and procedures as they apply to tactical usage during surveillance operations.
Introduction to Technical Surveillance 6.5 Hrs (2C/4.5L)
Objective: Technical Surveillance is the covert monitoring of behavior, either audio or video, utilizing covert or overt measures. The primary objective is to be familiar with the operational equipment, techniques and procedures as they apply to tactical usage of Technical Surveillance.
Introduction to Behavioral Operations 6.5 Hrs (2C/4.5L)
Objective: The primary objective is to be familiar with and understand the various methods of Behavioral Operations, including the Costumes, Disguises, Body Language, Acting and Dialogue.
Introduction to Surveillance Detection 6 Hrs (2C/4L)
Objective: The primary objective is to be familiar with, know and understand the many Surveillance Detection protocols. Surveillance detection is the skills used to detect and confirm hostile surveillance.
Introduction to Counter Surveillance 6 Hrs (2C/4L)
Objective: The primary objective is to be familiar with, know and understand the many Counter Surveillance protocols. Counter Surveillance is the skills used to detect and confirm hostile surveillance. Counter surveillance is the action taken once hostile surveillance has been confirmed.
Introduction to Tactical Medicine 2 Hrs (1C/1L)
Objective: The primary objective is to be familiar with, know and understand the many Tactical Medicine protocols. Tactical Medicine is emergency medical tactics, techniques and procedures completed in a hostile environment to enable the patient to survive the critical first hour.
Introduction to the Surveillance Industry 2 Hrs (2C)
Objective: The primary goal of the Surveillance Industry module is to impart to the students the proper knowledge of how many opportunities are available in this job market, as well as the large scope and size of the market. It will also prepare the student to seek and secure employment and be ready for immediate job placement.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
Safety instructions are given throughout the course. Safety instruction will be given at the beginning of any new topic introduced.
Applicant must be able to pass a background check. At least one year experience in the security field (mil/LE/sec) is preferred, but not required.
